When Jenny Met Pipoy

Day 44

Sun Rays

Sunday was a great day for me because I finally got to meet Pipoy in person! I think my excitement was so intense that I only had a few hours of sleep. I woke up at 4am and I decided not to sleep anymore for it might give me a headache. I just prepared my things, and upon receiving his message that he is about to leave his house, I also went out to travel.

It was my decision for us to meet at the Quezon Memorial Circle because I know weekends are days for fitness buffs to gather. I also want to check out the weekend market so us meeting up would hit quite a lot of birds with one stone.

He prepared a set of songs for us to listen to as we walk. Using the cable he bought a few days ago, we were able to listen to the same songs by using our own earphones. We walked around the park numerous times - me keeping up with his pace. It wasn't a tiring walk for the park was mostly flat lands, but at times I had to catch up with him because his pacing was faster than mine.

We saw a flower garden and decided to stop for a while to relax our muscles. We took pictures and pictures of different flowers and tried to compare images, which helped in inspiring each other.

These were the pictures Pipoy took - I forgot his camera model, but it was a Sony point-and-shoot camera. He was so generous to share the images to me. :)

Generous. That's what Pipoy is. Aside from giving me pointers on what to do - exercise and food wise - he also gave me some encouragements and inspiration that will surely boosted my morale to carry on walking this path to wellness. Oh, he also gave me the cable - so sister and I can use it during our morning walks. So sweet!

Walking alone may give one that time to talk to his/herself; a time to contemplate and listen to one's soul, but I am sure you agree with me that walking with a companion has its own degree of happiness and satisfaction. The walk was very much easy to "bear" because we feed each other with our strength. Each stride, each change of pace, we would give each other a boost and encouragement.

I sure hope we can do this again.

Ampalaya Guisado

My food today:
  • 5:28am - 1 piece Ham and Cheese buchi
  • 10:12am - 1 1/2 Toge Lumpia, 1 serving of Dragon Fruit ice cream
  • 12:01pm - 1 slice pineapple
  • 6:27pm - 1/2 cup rice, 1/2 cup Ampalaya Guisado (Ampalaya, ground pork, chopped shrimps, sotanghon)
Total Cups of Water - 13

My total cups of water was based on what I got to drink at home; while walking with Pipoy, we shared a liter of water, so I am not sure exactly how much I drank.

Pipay and PipoyOh... you wanna see Pipoy? Tada!!! Well, I don't know if he knew I was taking a picture of him (well, he will know once he read this), but because he is quite a private person, I didn't dare ask for us to have a picture together (and I was shy to ask, too, hahaha).

Well, we are now planning to meet again, but destination is still not certain. I did love my little walk around the park, and I sure hope to walk there again - maybe with sister or with Pipoy (again) or with anyone willing to walk around with me.

Is it quite safe to say I'd make weekends photowalk days? I still don't know, but it's an opportunity I would like to embark on.

  1. I hope that you can continue making your weekends your photowalk days.

Yes, walking alone does have its own kind of perks but I guess depending on the person, one might need a companion to do so. Keep walkin'! I know you can do it, whether alone or with someone else.

  2. Yep. I am now making Sunday my rest day - but rest could also mean Photo Walk days! :) My mom and sis are attending a wedding next Sunday, so I still don't know where will I go, but definitely, I will go somewhere just to walk and take pictures.

    Thanks for the encouragement, sis.
