Quite a Lax Start

Day 45

Morning Sky

Sister and I did our morning walk today. My skin's getting darker and darker because Colinas Verdes is located east and the sun can be quite harsh on the skin. That being said, I decided to wear a sweatshirt, which was something I was happy about because the time mom gave it to me I didn't wear it because it would hug my body and would show my bulges. Today, the sweatshirt looked a bit loose, and I was able to wear it without looking as if I am a big pillow. :)

Walking with the sweatshirt on proved to be a wonderful thing to do. The wind was a bit chilly, so the sweatshirt warmed my body. Walking back from the Clubhouse, the sun was shining so bright so the sweatshirt protected my skin and it helped me sweat out. Sister and I took a new route walking back - and the few uphill climbs made me exert more effort. By the time we reached the gate, my sister said I looked like I was harassed because I was sweating too much! Good thing the weather was fairly cool, so I was doing okay overall. Of course, I didn't forget my water. Hydration is very important to me.

However, it was a bit of a lax day for me because I wasn't able to do any of my Hip Hop Abs workouts. I do have many reasons why, but believe me, I felt guilty. Oh well, tomorrow is another day. :)

Beef Pochero

My food intake today:
  • 7:47am - 1 piece sliced White bread + 10g canned tuna + 2 cucumber slices
  • 12:17pm - 2/3 cup rice, Adobo de Campesino (50g pork belly, 50g yard long beans)
  • 6:35pm - 2/3 cup rice, Beef Pochero (50g beef, 2 slices saba bananas, 1 chunk potato, 2 chunks sweet potatoes, 2 pieces green beans, a few wombok leaves)
Total Cups of Water: 14

I didn't know what to cook for today, so I bought pork belly. I did choose the leaner kind, and took out some of the fat before cooking it. I do love that kind of adobo, but like what I wrote on my previous post, I will try to minimize my intake of pork, and will choose other meats instead.

Sister cooked our dinner and it was so delish! Too bad the beef was too tough to chew, but like my late father used to tell us, "Tough beef gives you the time to savor the flavor as you need to chew on it more." Well, I did love it and I do hope she would cook it again.

This was a lax day, yes, but I did tell myself that I will bounce back tomorrow. This is behind me now, time move forward and not let a distraction lose my complete focus.

Oh, today I felt way loved. I don't have to elaborate on it too much, but summing it up, I wasn't just happy, I melted. :)
