Ever since, I have always had a soft spot for brown nail polishes, but I don't buy much of it because my sister always teases me that it looked like I dipped my fingers and/or toes on mud. Before, I would let it pass - since I only use nail polish on toes back then, but now that I have a budding addiction to nail polishes, I want to try every shade... whether or not it would suit my skin tone.
I loved Bobbie Mudslide right away. Not only was it easy to apply (lacquer spreads good, too), it also has its way to flatter the hands. The holo effect is quite visible on this one compared to the light colored ones in the collection, and because it's brown, it doesn't look too revealing or scandalous to wear.
Opacity was okay, too, although I used three medium coats. It builds up well, the holo effect looked good in the shade, but I loved it more under direct sunlight.
One nail blog I checked said this was a very good dupe for "Butter London's All Hail the Queen." I still haven't tried any international brands, but checking her swatches, I'd say it really looked very close. Well, if that's the case, then I guess I'd just settle for Bobbie, because this one only cost me about 30 pesos... less than 1usd. :)
I adore that color!
ReplyDeleteHi Jenn, i'm bloghoppin on the Nail Files link up. This holo is gorgeous and this is a really pretty soft shade. As much as I love the, I have yet to own one. Looks like I'm off to ebay to see about that ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing and have a great weekend.
