Starting the Week Happy

Together we can fly to an endless sky where anything is possible.
We gotta start moving, we gotta do something...
- The So Manys, "We Can"

Day 108
16 January 2012

Black and White Dress Black and White Dress Black and White Dress

You all know about the tension / invisible wall separating Mr. Pipoy and I... things were okay (as I have written the past few days), but late Sunday night 'til the first hour of Monday morning, we had another argument. No need to divulge the reason behind it, but before we sleep, we told each other that when we wake up Monday morning, we would start on a clean slate.

Start on a clean slate we did. Monday was a great day for us, as he puts it, "We're back in each other's arms." I could say I miss moments like this - both of us sweet to each other, both of us respecting each other's space. I am happy that despite the problems, both of us can freely express our mind, be straight forward, not holding anything, and come up with a solution from there.

Today I tried on a dress I bought earlier this month. It was great that I could fit in it, but the size was just enough for me to wear it, but I know by summer I can wear this outside the house with confidence.

Mung Bean Sprouts, Tofu, and Tomatoes

I cooked another one of Maiylah's recipes, which I dubbed as "a person with arthritis' worst meal," because it's made of Mung Bean Sprouts, marinated Tofu, Tomatoes, and Sesame Seeds. It tasted really good, and I think it will go well with grilled fish and / or meat.

Kitty Moe-Moe

Not too long ago, my cat Mommy Teddy gave birth to two kittens, but one died the day after. Mr. Pipoy named this one Cream-O, and he gave "Moe-Moe" as its nickname. At first, they were in the corner of the storage room, but this afternoon, Mommy Teddy took Moe-Moe and placed the cute kitty on the blanket under one of our couches. The mother cat seemed to be more confident letting her little one out in the open - and I was happy that they found a new place. Where they are now is a bit exposed, but thankful I am that none of the adult cats tried to shoo them away. I think they all loved the little one, though I feel sorry for my other cat Oreo, because this was his bed and since it's occupied by other cats, he had no choice but to find another place for him to sleep at.

I wasn't able to walk this morning because it was raining, but I was able to do the other exercises / workouts on my Monday schedule.

Chocolate Pancakes

What I ate today -
  • 10:10 am - 1/2 cup rice; 1/8 cup canned tuna flakes in vegetable oil; 1/2 cup Nescafe brown n' creamy coffee
  • 2:47 pm - 2 pieces homemade chocolate pancake, served with butter and granulated sugar
  • 6:30 pm - 1/2 cup rice; 1/4 cup mung bean sprouts, tofu, and tomatoes; 1/4 cup ampalaya with chicken, shrimps, and sotanghon; 1 slice ripe papaya
  • 8:03 pm - 1 Yakult
Total Cups of Water - 12
The homemade chocolate pancake was another thing to be happy about - I don't really eat pancakes made from store bought pancake mix (but I do eat it on rare occasions - with grated cheese or hotdog slices), but I love to eat pancakes made at home using regular flour, eggs, and water. We didn't grow up using maple syrup on our pancakes, simple table sugar is often okay for us. This stack of pancakes was something brother cooked because it was near 3pm and I still haven't had my lunch (well, I had a late breakfast, that's why).

Monday isn't my favorite day of the week, but I totally loved how my Monday came to be!
