A Morning Solo Photo Walk

Day 109
17 January 2012

Clubhouse Grass

Fire Tree

Sister's back home, so I was able to go out and walk with my camera today. I was happy that even if it rained last night, the sun was up today. Actually, I was doubting if I would go out today - it was super cloudy near our place, so when Mr. Pipoy called to ask if I would walk or not, I told him, since it's not raining, I'd go out and walk... and will just go home if it rains. When I reach Colinas Verdes, there were little clouds, so it was great that I decided to walk today.

Colinas Verdes now implemented a new rule for joggers / walkers: No flip flops, no dogs allowed. I am not sure what prompted them to have this rule, but since I don't have a dog and I usually wear my running shoes, I am not affected at all.

I was wearing a long sleeved blouse and a sweatshirt (to help me sweat on a cold morning), but because I was wearing a pair of shorts, the wind on my skin was giving me a difficult time walking - my muscles tend to contract - so by the time I reach the clubhouse, I decided to walk back to the gate.

Birdie

Walking back, I could hear some birds chirping, and from afar, I saw this bird on a small tree. I was thankful I had my camera with me, allowing me to take a picture of it. I had to zoom my camera to 23x to get this shot, making one shutter happy person. :)

Zumba on Kris TV

My sister's having a break from work - the building for the restaurant is still not complete, but they have been training for so long now, so the owners of the branch where she will work at decided to pull them out of training. That means, she will be home most of the time until she gets a call from her employers. She watched TV this morning and the show KrisTV is tackling about fitness and sometime in the show, a Zumba instructor gave audience a glimpse of what Zumba is - possibly the newest fitness trend in the Philippines now. I have known about Zumba since last year, and I hoped to own the Zumba fitness kit, but sadly I don't see any store here in the Philippines that sells it. Well, Zumba sure is a fun workout, and in time I hope to get serious about it; dancing is a very great way to lose weight. :)

Curlers On Light Curls

While waiting for dinner to be served, sister and I did something crazy - curling our hair! Well, we wanted to visit the salon since the start of the year, and since we still haven't figured what we wanted to do with our hair, we just experimented how the curls would look on us. Well, considering that I have limp, very thin hair, the curls gave it volume, I might consider having it trimmed (just to take out the split ends) before having it curled - just light curls, though.

Aside from the morning walk, I was able to do the rest of my scheduled workouts for Tuesday. Hooray!

Okoy for Lunch

My food for today -
  • 8:47 am - 1/2 cup rice; 1/4 cup canned tuna in vegetable oil; 1 cup Nescafe brown n' creamy coffee
  • 12:26 pm - 1/2 cup rice; 2 patties Mung Bean Sprouts with Shrimp and Cumin
  • 4:57 pm - 10 pieces French Fries seasoned with salt and pepper
  • 7:16 pm - 1/2 cup rice; Sinigang na Bangus (1/2 steak cut milkfish, about three tablespoons kangkong); 1 slice ripe papaya
  • 8:25 pm - 1 Yakult
Total Cups of Water - 13
My siblings prepared Nachos as their after dinner snack (what the...), I sure wanted to give it a taste, but it was a good thing they used ground pork. Since I don't eat pork now, it was easy not to be tempted by it.
The scales dropped today. I won't say how much, but I hope by the next weigh-in, I will be all smiles.

and then, she {snapped} NapTime MomTog

  2. You eat rice three times in a day? Wow! Don't you get afraid of ending up bored with it?

  3. Thanks, Alicia!

Enyonam - I am Asian; rice is a staple food here. Most people from my country eat rice three times a day. Come to think of it, it's the one food I could never really give up.
