Bobbie Nail Polish | The Big Bang

Local nail polish brands don't really manufacture a whole lot of glitter polishes, so whenever I see one that is not the typical silver and gold glitter top coats, I always consider buying it. Not only do these glitter nail polishes look great, they can also salvage a chipping manicure when you have no time to change it yet. :)

Bobbie Nail Polish | The Big Bang

This bottle of The Big Bang from Bobbie was something I bought last Christmastime. I really wanted to do a glittery nail art and thought of buying To the Batcave by Cutex regardless of its price, but when I passed by Landmark Makati, I noticed this one and was surprised that it looked very close to Cutex. Well, Cutex cost 120 pesos (3usd), while this was only 30 pesos (less than 1usd), so of course, I'd go for this one. :)

It contains medium size hex glitters in silver, blue, red, gold and green mixed with silver glitter dust. It has a gray base, so I decided to layer it on top of OMG Stiletto so it would look close to the base nail polish. You can wear this one as is, although to help show the glitters, it's best to layer it over a base nail polish.

The bottle is packed with lots of glitters, so fishing out the glitters wasn't a problem at all. It spreads good, although I suggest you don't glide the brush that much because it will clump the hex glitters together. The only thing I didn't like with this was that it took a longer drying time, so if you plan to do two layers of this, I suggest you let the first coat dry completely because adding another layer while the first layer was still wet would mean longer drying time, which might result to awful looking manicure should you accidentally scratch your skin.

It looked good layered over silver, but it looks better when layered over darker nail polish - like vampy red, black or midnight blue.
